Copying Kid Rocker?

This is a bizarre case that involves some classic 80s hair metal and whether or not it was ripped off. Chicago based band Kid Rocker (not to be confused with Kid Rock) is suing members of Poison for “stealing” four Kid Rocker songs. I know ... You were thinking I was gonna say Kid Rocker was suing Kid Rock. The whole thing went down before Poison was even formed, according to the Kid Rocker side of the story. A bombshell has been released by Kid Rocker's attorney: A radio interview transcript from 1994 where C.C. DeVille is on record telling Billy McCarthy, a member of Kid Rocker, he should have made some money of the first Poison album, Look What the Cat Dragged In. C.C. DeVille tried out for Kid Rocker before joining Poison. He was allegedly shown and lent copies of demos for some Kid Rocker tunes. We'll keep you posted on the latest details.

Part 2 now posted

The second part of Corey Taylor's lecture to Oxford University students is now posted online. The Slipknot/Stonesour front man visited with 120 students of the Oxford Union back in June and talked about what you should chase: dreams or what you're good at. He also talked about wearing a mask and projecting his true emotions through primal screams. The singer/writer will take to the road with a stop in Chicago at the Double Door for a solo show/book read November 26th.
