News on the march

What, you didn't hear? Your government spied on American citizens, Blackwater's Jackson is indited, and an ex-NSA officer leaked to media the goods and got busted ... how will this intimidate future whistle-blowers? With the tax-day revolts subsiding and millions of Americans not filing while Exxon gets away paying virtually no income tax by sheltering their "income" overseas, untouched by Uncle Sam. Becoming complacent again? Session will update you with the latest about the Kyrgyz experiment.

On the legislative front, the good guys are trying, but the battle will be long--several congressman have filed a bill that would end the occupation in Afghanistan. Also, tune in to find out about the Health Care Freedom legislation that has been introduced in Illinois.

Didn't see any of these things in the news? You can always check out these and all the various stories Saturday Session tries to filter through week-by-week by viewing Bishop's Shared Items from Google reader.

Spy Chips

Bishop chatted with Dr. Katherine Albrect, author and activists with SpyChips.com, about a variety of things concerning your privacy. What does Google have the ability to do better than the government's own CDC? Is there really part of the recently passed health care legislation that talks about implantable Radio Frequency Identification chips? What exactly can RFID do anyway and why should we care? Find out more with a jam-packed hour No. 2--Katherine Albrect on Saturday Session.

What happened in Waco?

In hour three Saturday Session will discuss Waco. After a several weeks-long stand off with federal officials, those in the compound were weary and impatient with federal negotiators who were lying and manipulating the compound's message. After the Branch Davidians begged for a third party negotiator--the media--feds made their move and poked holes and sprayed tear gas into rooms with woman, children and elderly people. The government contends that the Davidians burnt themselves up. But review of the events on that day, it is apparent what the circumstance of that fire was.

Irony is sadly funny

Hear late comedian Bill Hick's thoughts about the Waco debacle and think to yourself, if child abuse was the main concern about this compound, why are there not FBI or ATF bradly tanks knocking holes in and out of catholic churches. The whole thing, in Bishop's opinion, sadly boils down to a public relations campaign gone terribly and dreadfully wrong. Who was held responsible; those who broke the law and are on tape doing so, or those that were accused (but never found guilty of anything) and are now victims? Who should be held responsible? What are your thoughts?

Mid-April can be a nightmare

The anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing is inching around the corner too. Let's set the record strait: Anyone who is willing to perform acts of violence against woman and children in the name of their cause it a coward and deserves what they get, the death of innocence on their hands. But what about the Oklahoma City bombing doesn't add up? How could the official story's one bomb do the damage that was done? What were the local media reports on that day talking about with secondary devices being found and removed from the scene? Were McVeigh and Nichols really the only culprits? Also, Columbine's tragedy will be remembered next week. Was it video games and music that caused the bent students to open fire, or was it medication and lack of parenting that is to blame? What is it about mid April that get's people to flip out and rampage? Too many questions and not enough time for Saturday Session. Just think about it!
